The General Assembly of the European Paediatric Association (EPA/UNEPSA) selected the city of Vienna and the Austrian Society of Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine as the host for the 5th Europaediatrics during their meeting in Florence in the beginning of December. EPA/UNEPSA and Cochrane Child Health Field launch their first scientific meeting
The Scientific Meeting “Evidence Based Medicine and Child Nutrition” took place in Florence on 2 December 2009. It is the first of a series of meetings that will be co-organised by EPA/UNEPSA and the Cochrane Child Health Filed. The first meeting attracted 680 delegates in total and was held on the eve of the international conference “Excellence in Paediatrics”. The scientific programme comprised 6 plenary sessions with presentations delivered by 13 esteemed scientists. Professor A. Rubino, University Federico II, Naples, was the Chairman of the Scientific Committee and welcome the delegates to the opening session of the meeting along with Professor A. Konstantopoulos, President of the European Paediatric Association.
